My professional involvements focus on university administrative initiatives and educational research implementation at North Dakota State University. My primary focus is on academic program assessment, faculty instructional development, postsecondary science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education reform, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. I also assist in overseeing the instructional quality of continuing education courses for K-12 teachers in North Dakota and Minnesota, organizing instructional training for graduate teaching assistants, and upholding university-wide accreditation. I focus on synthesizing information across academic disciplines to improve individual lifestyles and eliminate educational barriers, with the ultimate goal of improving the social, environmental, and economic sustainability of communities.
