2020 YEA! Investor Panel “Shark Tank” goes virtual!

This year’s YEA! Investor Panel is on with a new virtual format. To protect the health and safety of our students, investors and attendees, but still offer the same fun competition, we’re excited to announce that the event will be live streamed.

The 2019-20 Young Entrepreneurs Academy students invite you to the Investor Panel. Be the first to hear what exciting businesses these bright individuals are working on! Local business leaders will serve as judges and award funding in a "Shark Tank" style format. Then you can vote on your favorite business to win People's Choice! We promise you'll be impressed by these students, their big ideas and their plans for bringing them to life.

As always, the students will have just five minutes to pitch their ideas before fielding questions from the investors, who will then determine how much funding to award to each venture. One student will also be selected to advance to the YEA! National Saunders Scholars competition later this spring.

This year’s business ideas include everything from tech products, clothing lines, hair care, dog toys and much more!

About the program
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) takes middle and high school students through the process of launching their own businesses. Over the course of this 25-week program, students use a projects-based curriculum, tour local businesses to learn about different industries, conduct market research, hear from guest speakers and work with local professionals who serve as mentors as the students write their business plans. By the end of this program, YEA! students will be the CEOs of their own real businesses or social movements, all before they graduate high school!
