Description
This year’s business ideas include everything from innovative tech products and vacuum repair to apparel, lawn care, a bakery and more! As always, the students will have just five minutes to pitch their ideas before fielding questions from the investors, who will then determine how much funding to award to each venture. One student will also be selected to advance to the YEA! National Saunders Scholars competition in New York later this spring.

About the program
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) takes middle and high school students through the process of launching their own businesses. Over the course of this 25-week program, students use a projects-based curriculum, tour local businesses to learn about different industries, conduct market research, hear from guest speakers and work with local professionals who serve as mentors as the students write their business plans. By the end of this program, YEA! students will be the CEOs of their own real businesses or social movements, all before they graduate high school!
