Women Connect -
Avalon Events Center and livestream | 3:30 p.m.
This session will focus on the female rivalry that exists in fairy tales, in sibling relationships, and in the workplace. Sabrina and Donna will provide tactical takeaways to become self-aware and confident to project that rivalry into positive impact.
Growing up as highly competitive sisters, both Sabrina and Donna learned that you can always get further by working together instead of against each other. Their sister-sibling rivalry has influenced their careers and how they each work to empower the other women around them instead of always watching their backs. The need to watch your back or that another woman is out to get you is portrayed in almost all Fairy Tale little girls read and watch growing up. In this session, you will gain a better understanding of yourself, including some tactical takeaways of building your self-confidence, taking your seat at the table and empowering the women around you. You will learn how to navigate workplace rivalry and how to use competitive energy to make a positive impact on your career and other women in your life.
Sabrina Olsen:
With her passion for learning and collaborative energy, Sabrina spent the majority of her life fostering moments for personal and community growth. Sabrina grew up with her 3 sisters on a small, family-owned farm near Volga, South Dakota and then left for the 'big city’ of Fargo to attend Minnesota State University Moorhead. Sabrina continued to thrive in developing people and programs to improve the lives of her friends, family, employees, and community members through working in HR and Talent Development over the past 10 years mostly in property management companies. Currently, she sets the standards for Alliance Management Group’s culture, customer service, and leadership development that not only make an impact on the business and team members’ careers, but also local communities.
Sabrina never misses an opportunity to challenge the status quo in order to see people and understand their experience so businesses can meet people’s unique needs.
Donna Smith:
A graduate from North Dakota State University with more than a decade of experience in leading teams, Donna has a passion for process improvement and people.
