Description

Women frequently express that they don’t feel they deserve their job and are “imposters” who could be found out at any moment. Many recent studies (and self-experiences) have found that women worry more about being disliked, appearing unattractive, outshining others or grabbing too much attention. So how can you get around that, how can you overcome those times of self-doubt so that you can move forward? This session will explore various habits that can help decrease that destructive inner voice and seize opportunities.

What will you learn?
1. Say Stop - When our inner doubts bubble up, be quick. Don’t let negative thoughts grow from a whisper to a stream of discouraging sentences.
2. Look Behind - Dedicated reflection on previous self-doubt and the actual realization of those experiences. Chances are, the “worst case scenario” was not the worst case.
3. Evaluate Forever - Trying to plan every move will make even the most organized women feel drained and lead to self-doubt. Learn the idea of course-correction and its benefits in eliminating self-doubt.

Charity of the month: YWCA Cass Clay
Please consider bringing disinfectant wipes or hand soap to donate to them.

When you give to the YWCA, you help families build brighter futures. Those facing homelessness want what we all want; a place to call home, a place to raise children, a place to work, and the opportunity to provide a good life for their families. Beyond meeting the basic needs of shelter, food and clothing, donations to the YWCA help enhance their Education and Employment program, expand Supportive Housing services, and ensure their facilities are safe and sustained.
