Concordia College Theatre presents Songs for a New World, written and composed by three-time Tony Award Winner, Jason Robert Brown. Songs for a New World is a sung-through song cycle, directed and choreographed by guest artist Donna Kaz with musical direction by Andrew Steinberg. With powerful vocals and original choreography, it is sure to be a night of breathtaking performances. Songs for a New World follows characters on a road to self-discovery, which they uncover through their perseverance and daring. Through a mural of life-changing experiences, each character's personal path demonstrates their endurance in the face of difficult times with melodies full of soul and hope. Highlighting emotions and experiences beyond simple linear storytelling, author Jason Robert Brown describes Songs for a New World as being, "about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back."
