Join us August 15th for Pioneer Day at Bonanzaville! *Due to COVID-19, our annual 2 day celebration will be held for ONE DAY ONLY.* Costumed docents will bring history to life along with live demonstrations including blacksmithing, threshing and more! To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Women's Suffrage, visitors can speak to North Dakota suffragist Clara Dillon Darrow who will be giving her "I want to vote" speech. Other suffragists will include Elizabeth Preston Anderson, Helen DeLendrecie and Mary Weibel. While you're here, be sure to check out Bonanzaville's exhibit "I want to vote: 100 years of Women's Suffrage".
Other activities include a kiddie tractor pull, kids haystack coin hunt, pioneer games, crafts, Red River Trivia at 3 p.m. with a cash bar and much more!
Check out the homemade lefse and kuchen demonstrations in the village or grab lunch from Terry and Jerry's!
After lunch, enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn wagon or the train before the parade starts at 2 p.m.! Regular admission applies.
