Eggs 2021 Jul The Housing Dilemma; Solving an Obstacle to Community Growth

It is no surprise to hear that we are experiencing a housing problem, but just how bad as it gotten? How did it reach this point? Why is this such a concerning issue? How can it be fixed?
 
Extreme disproportion of housing supply and demand coupled with inflated housing prices cause great concern, especially for a community like ours experiencing tremendous growth and a significant workforce shortage. With businesses expanding, the Diversion construction set to begin soon, and Amazon already hiring, we as a business community need to have a conversation around where these folks are going to live and how we can provide affordable and available housing. Without adequate housing options, our region will never be able to attract or retain our desperately needed workforce.
 
Join us on July 13 to hear how the housing dilemma concerns you as a business leader. The Home Builders Association will share current trends in homeownership and how critical the housing supply is to attracting a workforce. You will also hear directly from an economist on how we got into this current housing situation and how we compare with other regions.
