Whether it’s hitting the golf course, catching a softball game, enjoying a walk by the river, or taking a day trip to a nearby state park, parks and recreation drive our local experience, attracting and retaining individuals.
Vibrant communities are home to a variety of attractions, but parks and recreation facilities are cornerstones of community development and planning. As we look towards the future and prioritize placemaking in our workforce and livability conversations, it is imperative that our local and state governments continue to incorporate affordable spaces for kids and adults to explore and enjoy. While our FMWF community grows, we must set ourselves apart by creating attractive communities to live, work, and play.
As taxpayers, where can we expect our money to go? How does this investment link to workforce attraction efforts? What opportunities and innovative solutions are the parks taking to ensure citizens have satisfactory experiences? As the cities look at revitalizing neighborhoods, what are they doing to reinvigorate recreational areas?
Join North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department Interim Director, Paul Taylor, leaders of the local park districts, and businesses supporting recreational opportunities, as we discuss the importance of communal spaces, opportunities for growth, current and future offerings and demand for revitalization.
