We all know that person. They walk into a room and blurt out whatever is on their mind with no regard for their audience. Or the person who refuses to accept feedback. Or the person who thinks their work is the absolute best when everyone knows it’s just mediocre (if that!). Or the person who just has no friggin’ clue. Awkward!

It’s downright painful, and seeing the un-self-aware sends you ducking into an empty conference room whenever you see them coming. Should you really need to invoke military-like stealth hiding techniques in your own workplace to avoid the person who doesn’t realize how loud they talk about inappropriate subject matters? No, you should not.

• Key attributes of those in need of self-awareness
• How to manage your own emotions when working with the un-self-aware
• How to have productive working relationships with those who lack self-awareness
• How to influence those un-self-aware individuals to make life all around better

And of course, it’d be impossible to talk about the self-awareness of others (or lack thereof) without tackling a little bit of what it means to be self-aware in our own lives. We’ll make it painless, we promise!

About the presenters
In 2019, Nicole Turchin and Kurtis Karn co-founded Sunshine & 79, an employee experience cooperative created to bring the fun back into personal growth and development. Their humorous and educational FunShops were built to take real-world, heavy topics like blame, influence and purpose, and make them a little more approachable and less intimidating to process.
