Life is full of moments – from big distractions, frustrating occurrences or micro incidents you barely even recognize. How you interpret and react to these moments is key to success in so many ways. Regardless of how smart you are, emotional intelligence is a mindset and a set of skills that help you control and express your emotions, and help you handle interpersonal relationships.
This session of Business Training will help you take a hard look at your own reactions to highly emotional situations. It will walk you through everyday tools and tips to get a handle on responding to situations professionally. We’ll learn the science behind emotional intelligence and leave with a heightened awareness about the prevailing success that comes in life when you develop these skills.

About the presenter
Jill Staffne is the VP of Human Resources at Scheels. She has been fortunate to spend her career with two great companies, Scheels and Bell Bank. She has been married for 18 years to her college sweetheart, Brian, and has 3 usually great kids, Reese (15), Bella (12) and Bridger (8) and a cute Frenchie named Dash. To keep balance in her life, she teaches jazzercise two nights a week.
