Description

The price of bad meetings is beyond financial. Consider the cultural cost of dissatisfied, unproductive employees, plus the costs of time wasted or failing to meet the expectations of clients or partners due to a bad meeting. How many meetings are truly effective? In business and as volunteers, we meet every day: 15-minute stand-ups, 2-hour planning meetings, day/s-long retreats, conference calls, symposiums and conventions. Too many meetings are too long, get hijacked, leave people scratching “why was I here?” or seem to be the same meeting over and over.

Before your next meeting, learn how to influence a meeting’s success when you’re leading or participating. With deliberate planning and strategies, every meeting – regardless of size – is an effective communication tool to engage a group in a specific dialogue and directed outcome. In this session of Business Training, learn to make your face-to-face meetings effective every time you and your organization bring people together for a meeting, event, retreat or group conversation.

What will you learn?

  • Turn your meetings into effective collaborative communication tools to engage, work together, promote ideas and get work done.
  • Discover how to establish your meeting’s purpose, so you can make great decisions about all the meeting details that support (instead of distract from) your goals.
  • Learn to create the appropriate set-up that sets expectations so all in attendance can contribute effectively during the meeting and tools to engage employees to follow through on their work after.
