The Challey Institute is hosting the presentation "Technology and the Future: The '20s Will (Yet) Roar" by energy and technology expert Mark Mills, moderated by Menard Family Director John Bitzan and co-sponsored by Dakota Digital Academy. This event is free and open to all members of the NDSU community and the public. The talk will begin at 4 p.m., followed by audience Q&A. The first 100 attendees will receive a free copy of Mills' new book. All are invited to stay for a reception with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments at 5:30 p.m. The late great management consultant, Peter Drucker, said he only predicted "what's already happened," which is great advice for technology forecasting. Drawing from his new book, "The Cloud Revolution: How the Convergence of New Technologies Will Unleash the Next Economic Boom and a Roaring 2020s," Mills cuts through the fog of hype to illuminate what's coming next, despite the (inevitable) chaos afoot in the world.
